Dedicated to improving soccer development in Australia, our coaches have a wealth of knowledge, skill and passion for developing young players and introducing them to a new, exciting way of learning and training.

Lewis

Born in the UK, where he played soccer from a young age at various professional clubs across the south of England.

Lewis has coached our youth for over 10 years, he has definitely found his calling. Lewis holds his FFSA coaching licence's and is currently working towards obtaining higher qualifications within his role.

Since coming to Australia, Lewis has found that the coaching provided within junior level soccer is somewhat lacking, his aim is to change this. Lewis endeavors to open up more opportunities that our youth system have access to, whilst creating a realistic pathway into professional soccer here in Australia and overseas. This would mean that players can really make their dream a reality and have another avenue to pursue.

Lewis believes if our junior's, (from as early as under 8 right through to under 18 level) are provided with the following then we have the best opportunity to build the stars of the future, right here in Adelaide: High quality level of coaching, core skills training, basic fundamentals, access to new technologies including, GPS tracking, video playback, InStat reporting and sports science.

Leandro “Lio”

We’re thrilled to introduce Leandro “Lio” Alves to Soccer By Design. Lio holds a UEFA A coaching license and brings a wealth of international experience to our team. His impressive coaching background includes:

• Assistant Coach, U-23 Team C at AD Alcorcón (Madrid, Spain)

• Football Scout at Kaizen Football Investment (England)

• Head Coach at AC London FC (Combined Counties Football League)

• U-21 Head Coach at London Tigers FC (South Midlands Football League)

• Head Coach at Sporting Duet Academy (London County Saturday Youth League)

Lio’s passion for youth development aligns perfectly with our mission, and we’re excited about the value he brings to our program.

David

David has been with Soccer By Design for several seasons, holding an AFC C License and completing our SBD methodology training. With over 30 years of playing experience and 6 years of coaching, his knowledge and expertise have grown significantly. His dedication to the development of our players, alongside his commitment to enhancing his own skills, has made him a key figure in our coaching team.

Chris

Chris, also with Soccer By Design for several seasons, brings over 30 years of playing experience and 5 years of coaching to the team. He holds an AFC C License and has completed skills, matchday, and SBD methodology training. Chris's unwavering dedication to our players' growth and his own professional development have seen his coaching go from strength to strength, making him a vital part of our program.
